In 2024, Jambuilt Construction completed a transformative renovation on a mid century home built in 1957. The interior of the house remained largely untouched since its construction, giving us a unique opportunity to modernise the space while preserving its charm. The project began with a full renovation of the main bathroom, where we added a second toilet to enhance functionality for the family. We then converted the existing laundry into a practical mudroom, complete with its own toilet, adding both convenience and flow to the home’s layout.
To elevate the main bedroom, we created a new walk-in wardrobe and a modern ensuite, turning the space into a comfortable and private retreat. All bedrooms were relined and fully insulated to improve warmth and energy efficiency, ensuring the home is more comfortable year-round. Throughout the house, the original Matai floors were carefully refinished, restoring their natural beauty and timeless appeal.
A major highlight of the renovation was the installation of a large two-door stacker slider in the north-facing lounge. This not only flooded the living area with natural light but also created a seamless connection to the outdoors, enhancing both lifestyle and value. The result is a beautifully upgraded home ready for modern living.
