State House Duplex Renovation – Practical Upgrades for Modern Living

In 2025, our team at Jambuilt Construction was engaged to bring a pair of old state-house rentals into the 21st century. The client’s goal was to deliver a smart, cost-effective transformation that would extend the life of the properties and improve comfort for tenants.

The project began with the full replacement of all exterior windows and doors, improving energy efficiency, security, and overall presentation. We carried out extensive repair and remedial work to the weatherboard cladding, removing rotten timber and replacing it with new — a practical solution that restored the homes’ integrity while keeping costs under control.

To add value and functionality, we built new timber decks and verandahs for both dwellings, complete with steps, paths, and garden sheds, providing low-maintenance outdoor spaces for everyday use. Inside, new carpets and overlay flooring were installed to refresh the interiors without unnecessary expense.

The homes were finished with new spouting and complete painting inside and out, giving both dwellings a clean, modern look and added weather protection.
